What is a good water heater for RES turtles?

krisv asked:

I plan on moving my RES babies to a 20 gallon tank. What is a suitable water heater brand? Do I have to pay attention how much voltage a heater gives per gallon?

As a turtle owner I have an Elite water heater that you would use in a fish tank…The submersible heater..I have it close to the overhead filter so they can’t burn themselves on it or try to eat the plastic covering..

When you go to get one..the package will tell you as to which tank it is good for!

The submersible heater should be used to keep the water at 75-86 degrees F. Get a good aquarium thermometer and monitor the water temperature

They won’t die if you don’t have a heater, but it is highly recommended to have one

Ebo jager–I am not real sure of the spelling off the top of my head, but these are excellent submersible heaters.
