Water Heater?

linkinparkchic asked:

I live in an apartment and my water doesnt stay hot enough for longer than one person to take a shower without waiting a couple of hours between the showers. This is very annoying so I asked the maintenance man about it and he said my water heater was new and it probably just needed to be turned up but yet he never sent anyone to do this.
So do you think he’s full of crap or can turning up the water heater really help fix this problem.
If so how can I do this myself? Is it just a knob?
Its an electric water heater.

First, ask yourself….Is the water hot enough? Or does is just feel pretty warm? If you need hotter water, yes it needs to be turned up. If your water is hot enough, then perhaps something is wrong with your water heater. If it just takes a long time to heat up again, maybe the heating elements are coated with mineral deposits, or maybe only one of the two elements is working… If it turns out to be one of those things, it can be fixed, but turning it up won’t solve your problem…

For you need to determine is providing hot water heater is too small it will not keep up with demand you need to your water to see if your water heater is going.
