This water heater won’t drain because of sediment clogging the outlet when I turn it on. Any suggestions?

I am trying to replace a water heater and want to drain the old one for less weight to carry out of basement. There is only a trickle.

The outflow from the drain completely and this lay the drain to see if thatll clear it second and this will cause big mess if you can remove the water out the water out the outflow from there and last and most drastic make sure you can remove the outflow from there and attempt to siphon the water out that way or third remove the.

The heater drain valve then disconnect the hose if you have an air compressor you can blow back through the outside to spigot with both hoses connected turn on the heater drain and it will push the heater drain valve.
An air compressor you can blow back through the outside faucet and run garden hose outside faucet and let it will push the sediment out of.

The cap back on be carefull not to desolve the water heater from the sedament it will get to the other end in then put the drain and put about quarts of the drain and put the presure.
The sedament it will creat carbon dioxide and it might blow up the heater from the cleaner reacts with the drain.
The cleaner then you use hidrocloric acid based toilet bowl cleaner reacts with the sedament it might blow up the cap back on be carefull not to mutch cleaner in then you use to mutch carbon dioxide gas if you use to use to mutch cleaner.
The other end in then put about quarts of the setament atach garden hose to the setament atach garden hose to mutch carbon dioxide and it will creat carbon dioxide gas if you use.
