2008 tax deduction for energy efficient high hot water heater and furnace?
I bought a large consumer energy efficient water heater, and a high efficiency furnace in 2008. Is there anywhere to claim a credit for these two articles? It seems that the federal forms that are given credit for solar and hybrid vehicles. If you know where to apply for a credit for new furnaces and hot water heaters, let me know. There is no credit for these items in 2008. According to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, are restored to the tax years 2009 and 2010 only.
