Rheem water heaters warrior tthermostat replacement?

I have a 5 year old warrior gal electric water heater Rheem 40. It is located 110 degrees. During the last month of the water comes to 138 degrees. Could it be the thermostat. This unique 71-40D 8 has an upper and lower thermostat. Is it possible to know which one is bad and where can I get the thermostat. How do I replace it. Thank you

If your device two thermostats, they should both be replaced. It is a work 15 minutes to replace them. They are simply held against the tank by a metal clip attached to the opening element. If you have any doubts about the possibility of obtaining the thermostats to the right, take a picture with a cell phone or digital camera and take her to the plumbing shop. This way you can ensure you have the correct thing before we go home. Remove and replace each wire to the same screw on the new heat that is released on the old, then put back into the framework of clip and you're done. They are not terribly expensive either, I think the last I cost about $ 20 for both.
