Hot Water Heater Power Venting

Ruud Power Vent 2 Hot Water Heater LED light flashing?

We’ve had 50 inches of snow in a week. Tonight, our furnace stopped running. We checked and both the Hot Water Tank and the Air Conditioning unit were blinking red lights. We went outside and dug out the outside vents. 2 were just snow covered and the third has solid ice blocking it–impossible to get out at 11:00 p.m. in blizzard conditions. We came inside–the furnace now works and the light on the air conditioner has stopped blinking and home has warmed up. However, the light on the hot water tank is still flashing. Is this related to the frozen pipe and now we have no hot water? I’m scared to turn on the hot water in the house because I don’t want to waste what we might have in “storage”. Help! Is there anything we can do to fix this problem because it could be a week before we can get a repairman out here with all the snow. Thank you in advance!

Hey Man, Today I had the same problem, as it snowed for me also. I contacted my home builder and he gave me the solution. Unplug the power and plug it back after one or two minutes. It started working without any problem. Hope this will work for you also.
